How do I get there?

See "Directions" on the Travel & Accommodation page. We will do our best to offer some pickup times from the airport and possibly bus/rail stations.

Will you pick me up from the airport?

We will have set times for pickup and drop off on Wednesday and Friday. When RSVPing, let us know when you're landing and we will do our best to arrange pick-up for you to be dropped off at the hotel.

We will send out an email as we get closer to the wedding date asking when and where you will be arriving and leaving. Based on that information from all guests, we will come up with some times that work best for most people.

Will you pick me up from somewhere other than the airport?

Possibly, be sure to let us know when and where you're coming in. We will send out an email as we get closer to the wedding date asking when and where you will be arriving and leaving. Based on that information from all guests, we will come up with some times that work best for most people.

Should I rent a car if I'm coming from out of town?

You do not need to rent a car. Activities will be taking place on the estate.

Inverness also has various taxi companies. Unfortunately no Uber, though. The taxi companies can be unreliable at times. So if you plan on doing any extra exploring, a car is probably your best bet.

Rehearsal dinner: 7PM on Wednesday.
Wedding ceremony & reception: 3PM Thursday.
Brunch: 10AM on Friday.

If you're looking to avoid matching the wedding party: Jill's bridesmaids will be wearing navy dresses. And Kevin's groomsmen will be wearing navy jackets.

The rehearsal dinner will be casual.

Any other attire notes I should know?

Temperatures can drop in the 50s (F), so bring a jacket. It also rains frequently in Scotland, so be prepared for that.

If you're participating in the Highland Games, wear something that is okay to get dirty and tennis shoes.

When are RSVPs due?

We ask that you please respond to our invitation by June 1st.

Will there be kids plates/options?

Yes. We're working that out now and will send an email to those with kids about what they'd like.

Where is the ceremony and reception taking place?

On the estate. The ceremony will be outside, and the reception in the main ballroom.

Should I check to see that my passport will be valid before travelling to Scotland?

Yes! Make sure your passports are up to date!

In the U.K. your passport should be valid for the proposed duration of your stay if it is not expired. You don’t need any additional period of validity on your passport beyond this. Please check on the U.S. Entry Requirements for more information.

However, if you’re flying to Europe and your passport expires less than three months after your scheduled return date, you may run into some issues. Some countries even require a six-month buffer between expiration and return date. Please check to ensure your passport will be considered valid if you're travelling to destinations other than the U.K.

Can I bring a plus one?

We are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. Please feel free to e-mail us with any questions!

Will the ceremony be taking place indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony will be outdoors, weather permitting. The reception will be inside in the main ballroom.

Will there be traditional Scottish dancing (Cèilidh)?
